Jyotish for good

Jyotish the right way, for the right reasons.

No predictions. Only possibilities.

Planets are indicative, not causative. Albeit, our horoscopes reflect the state of our being, not the other way around.

Shri Narendra Desai (well-known Jyotishi)

Anyting will give up its secrets if you love it long enough.

Self discovery

That’s what jyotiSa means to me

This is heart and soul of jyotiSa. Cross my heart and hope to die, it truly is.

Here’s why. The more time I spend unraveling the mysteries of jyotiSa, the more I am convinced that we, in this day and age, have got jyotiSa completely backwards. We use it for predictions and then question the jyotishi and blame jyotiSa when things don’t eventualize as propehcized.

The piece we seem to be missing is that propechies pan out when we first do our part. Our part of knowing who we are. Our part of knowing why we are here. Our part of knowing what we need to do and when and then actually doing it. Then and only then will the prophecy pan out!

We are all unique, each one of us, to a greater or lesser degree but nonethless unqiue. Yet, instead of spending time discovering and nourishing that uniqueness we try to blend in and follow the herd. Ever see an Elephant flying? It can’t. It wasn’t born to!

jyotiSa is the tool that our seers left us to help us discover our uniqueness and that discovery being the secret key to success and happiness in this lifeitme. The lucky few who happen to chance upon their uniqueness become the subject of our envy. We squirm, we wiggle, we slither in that envy but we turn a blind eye to the one tool that can help us get over it. The one tool that can help us get everything we wish for, everything we deserve, everything we are meant to have.

So, what does Jyotish mean to you?

It is a way for me to revere the manisfested divine so as to drench my soul in their benediction.

Be your own Jyotishi

The seers safeguarded the knowledge of Jyotish so that its power not be misused. However, in the present day and age when the charlatans far outnumber the virtuous Jyotishis, it behooves all of us to have some basic knowledge to safeguard ourselves and be able to distinguish the fake from the genuine.
